The PepsiCo Recycling Zero Impact Fund can help you start an impactful sustainability program on campus. Any college or university that has a direct or indirect contract or a direct agreement to sell PepsiCo products can apply for up to $10,000 in funding. Entries will only be accepted from employees of the College or University. Proposals and applications should focus on creating environmental, economic and/or social impacts that support your school's zero-impact journey. Click here to view a sample application.

Please explain the benefits your project will have on the campus community.

  • Environmental Impact: Demonstrate a quantifiable sustainability impact of your project and how it will benefit the campus’ sustainability efforts. If possible include specific information such as kilowatt-hours saved, greenhouse gas emissions avoided, landfill diversion rates, and/or gallons of water saved.
  • Economic Impact: Please describe any cost savings or economic benefits to your campus community. If there is a return on investment, please explain.
  • Social Impact: Explain how the project will benefit, engage, and educate the campus community and how you plan to communicate or increase the visibility of your project.

How will you measure the success of your project and what metrics will you track? If your project is approved, you will need to report metrics including reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, number of people engaged, and depending on project topic, recyclables collected, reduction in energy consumption, and reduction in water consumption.
